for this blog i shall discuss my latest music obsession:
innerpartysystem. they're an amazing blend of techno and alternative. their lyrics are as edgy as they are catchy. if i listen to their songs i find myself singing them all day but at the same time i don't mind doing it. i saw them a few weeks ago in Allentown, PA at a venue called
Crocodile Rock Cafe. the concert had 5 or 6 openers (wayyyyy too many) but the venue was really nice. small enough that i could feel as though the band was playing to me but not too small that it was completely overcrowded. there was plenty of room for all of the innerpartysystem fans, but the space durring the openers didn't seem awkward and underfilled.
as much as the openers sucked innerpartysystem was outstanding. their live show was among the best ive seen. it featured an awesome light show that i wanted to watch as much as i wanted to see them play. they kept me dancing the entire time. i dont think ive ever sweated that much at a show, ever.
on the way out my friend and i met a few of the band members and thanked them for the show. they were nice enough to take a picture with us. i also picked up a sweet white
v-neck t-shirt. i intend to rock it this summer with skinny jeans and my
DC Villains mostly because i can.
so yeah, go listen to
them.
